  There are unique storage rooms on the second floor. Homes of this period did not have closets in bedrooms. Special rooms were dedicated to linen, pantries and utility services because servants took care of those chores.

  The Pitt Slip complex is adjacent to the Port of Pensacola in a sheltered cove.

  This is the only farm cooperative grain elevator in northwest Florida.

  The elevator is approximately 100 feet tall. There are six silos or individual storage bins attached to the main building.
