Hollandtown: Holland Farm: Truck Farm
Visiting the Holland Farm is an old-fashioned adventure. You can enjoy samples of produce in season while relaxing in a rocking chair on the front porch of the barn.
Most Holland Farm produce is grown on the land that has been in the family for over 100 years.
Not only is the land part of the family so are the employees. Bruce's brothers Charles and Melvin also help with the farm. Bruce and Diane's son B.J., who is now 20 years old, has been farming since age 12.
The Holland family was named Outstanding Farm Family in 1987. Today the family's operation has grown to about 600 acres and includes green, roasted, and boiled peanuts, watermelons, cantalopes, peas, butterbeans and sweet corn.
