The approximately 10 acres of high dunes and lake is truly the unique place to live on all of Pensacola Beach. The small lake has changed little since the impact of recent storms. Barrier islands are are one of the world's most restless landforms. Composed chiefly of shifting sands and subjected to the powerful forces of wind and water, they are anything but permanent. Even though there are homes built on the periphery of the dunes, residential development has not destroyed the area.
