This 1871 house was built by Joseph Ollinger, whose brother William built the first commercial floating drydock in the area at the Ollinger-Bruce shipyard in Bagdad. It is built in the 4-Square Georgian style but with modified Gothic detailing. The presence of fences are authentic reminders that until 1916, livestock was allowed to roam freely through the streets. (Source: Green, Laurie. *Images of America: Santa Rosa County*.
