Deer Lake State Park has a rare coastal dune lake that opens and closes to the salt waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The park's long dune boardwalk offers some of the best views of a dynamic dune ecosystem to be found on the gulf coast. The park is located 69 miles east of Pensacola.
