The Roy Hyatt Environmental Center is located on 120 acres of pine forest. There is a replica of a 19th century dogtrot home and pioneer garden, a replica of a 19th century one-room schoolhouse, a butterfly garden and gazebo. A visitor might also walk the nature trail and boardwalk which begins in the pine forest down to the bog where several species of carnivorous plants, including the endangered white-topped pitcher plant can be found.
