Pensacola: Pensacola High SchoolThe school was built in 1952 for a cost of $823,000.00 to accomodate 1850 pupils. It was well received by most, but did get one criticism. Said some: "It's just too far out in the country." Others complained that "They'll never fill that thing up!" Pensacola High School is located at "A" and Maxwell streets in the North Hill Preservation District. It is well known for the International Baccalaureate Program which ranks among the top school programs of its kind in the world. In 2002, 1550 students were enrolled at Pensacola High School.
