Milton: L N Train DepotThe first depot was built in 1882, the year the railroad was completed. It was a very busy place serving both Milton and Bagdad with daily trains to Pensacola and points beyond. Train service was discontinued in the 1960's and the depot fell into disrepair. Its dilapidated state provided the impetus for the formation of the Milton Historical Society in 1974. Since then, it has been restored and is the site of Depot Day, an arts and crafts festival held every year. (source: Laurie Green, Santa Rosa County)
